Title: Good-Bye
Story & Art By: Yoshihiro Tatsumi
Publisher: Drawn & Quarterly Age Rating: N/A
MSRP: $24.95
Yoshihiro Tatsumi coined the term gekiga, the manga equivalent of alternative comics, in 1957. Gekiga was Tatsumi’s way of showing people that manga didn’t have to be just for children. Good-Bye (GB) collects nine short stories from his career between the years 1971 and 1972. Ever wondered what manga could be like when it drops the magical girls, Super Saiyans, school hijinks, and gets downright gritty? Good-Bye is the book for you then, be warned though as the stories presented in GB aren’t for the faint of heart. Read more of this post

Featuring John “MusiM” with special guest John “Knobs” from That Video Game Podcast.
Music: Intro – Untitled by MusiM; Middle – Untitled by MusiM
This week we discuss tons of manga and comics including but not limited to Berserk, Vampire Hunter D, Gantz, Nova, Annihilation, Siege, Blackest Night, Invincible, Deathlok, Scott Pilgrim, and Atomic Robo!
Remember, we’re a biweekly podcast and we don’t know the meaning of the word biweekly! Join us next week for another special guest as we discuss more video games and primarily Red Dead Redemption!
Unfortunately the first 10 minutes of audio are a little degraded (because I kind of hit the stop instead of the record button) but it is very much still enjoyable.
EDIT:
I’m a bit too tired to figure out exactly what happened but basically if you’ve already downloaded the podcast, please delete it and download again. But now that I’ve checked a few things I might just be tired and crazy and have deleted and re-uploaded it for no reason. Oh well, if you were one of the 4 people that downloaded it before I noticed, email me at [email protected] and let me know!
