News: Video Game Releases

This is where we put out some info about the games we think are going to be somewhere between decent and awesome that release today.  Typically we skip over the heavy hitters.  Sorry Call of Duty, but 8 million people usually already know about your release date.

Metal Gear Solid HD – 360, PS3

Buy on Amazon

Developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami.  The significant part of this collection is that its also on the 360.  Metal Solid has traditionally been a Playstation title.  The collection includes Metal Gear Solid 2, Metal Gear Solid 3, and Metal Gear Solid Peacewalker (No Metal Gear Solid 1 or Twin Snakes).

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – 360, PC, PS3 – Nov 11

Buy on Amazon

Developed and published by Bethesda.  This is ridiculous because this game is totally going to sell a zillion copies and this section is supposed to be for the less fortunate.  But really anyone releasing a game this November is NOT the less fortunate and we have to post something.  So you know what?  We’ll pick the live action trailer.  See its not even a game.  By the way don’t call this weekend, I’ll be playing Skyrim.

News: Video Game Releases

So this week is the calm before the storm that is June releases!  I mean seriously publishers, does it all have to come out in June!!!  But we have some games that we think might be pretty sweet coming out now.  Hopefully someone will let us know as we’re kind of broke.

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge – 360, PC, PS3

Developed by inXile Entertainment, Inc. (2004 version of Bard’s Tale) and published by Bethesda Softworks, this game is for you co-dependents out there.  Two player action-RPG co-op all the way from split screen to online.

Dungeon Siege 3 – 360, PC, PS3

Developed by Obsidian and published by Square Enix.  The old Dungeon Siege games were pretty Diablo-esque and I’m sure this one will be too but with that old Obsidian twist.  And seriously, you should know who Obsidian is by now.

News: Video Game Releases

In light of the PSN being down and the rumor well going back and forth on whether’s Sony’s stuff was up to snuff, the simple fact is: there are still video games that could rock for all systems.  And the one we think might hit that decent and up category for this week is:

Brink – 360, PC, PS3

Developed by Splash Damage, who did the multipalyer content for the PC versions of Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Dooms 3, and published by Bethesda Softworks.  Brink is a FPS similar to Team Fortress but uses a parkour style of gameplay movement.  PC version has Steamworks.
