Welcome to the new usually biweekly format of the Carousel where we will discuss what we’ve been watching, reading, and playing with each cast member limited to a total of 6 topics.
This week we start with what we’ve been reading including DC Universe, JLA, JSA, Green Lantern, Transmetropolitan, and Kurt Vonnegut.
We continue with what we’ve been watching including Thor, X-Men First Class, and discuss some rumors on the upcoming Avengers movie.
And we finish with what we’ve been playing including League of Legends, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, LA Noire, Brink, Gratuitous Space Battles, Gretel and Hanzel, Gretel and Hanzel 2, and Furdieurb.
And lastly we discuss some brief news (Zone of Enders HD Collection!!!) and then get into an accidental discussion on hackers and internet security.

The Carousel is starting to do review like entries now, this evidently being the first. I have recruited a couple different individuals to participate and I expect all them to have their own unique style, length and critiques. My personal style is, well I want to talk about what I liked, why I liked it, and why you might like it.
Mr Brooks stars Kevin Costner as a serial killer with William Hurt as his alternate personality. Pretty much, if you like Dexter, you’ll probably like Mr Brooks. Let me tell you right now, I am not a Kevin Costner fan by any means, but this movie actually proved to me that the man can act on occasion. Or it may be that his typical inhuman method of delivery was particularly well suited for the role of a serial killer. But point being, almost all the actors delivered in this movie and combined with a brooding electronic soundtrack and morally ambiguous mystery plot, this movie is pretty freaking awesome.

This week we start a new once a month series where we focus on horror media. Later horror episode themes will be vampires, werewolves, and zombies but this week we just talk about horror in general.
We did wind up for talking a lot longer than we meant to so we split it into two 1.5 hour episodes for your listening ease. We’ll get the hang of keeping this thing under two hours somday! In part 1, we talk about movies. In part 2, we talk about printed media and videogames.
